About this camp

Students participating in the Aerospace Engineering & Aerodynamics Summer Camp will engage in hands-on projects that explore the principles of aerospace and aerodynamic design. Activities include building, testing, and launching various models such as five-foot hot-air balloons constructed from lightweight tissue paper, parachutes, cardstock airplanes, white wings, fold-n-go cars, and outdoor tetrahedron kites. Through these projects, campers will learn about fundamental aerospace principles like drag, lift, and gravity. They will also conduct speed, distance, and durability challenges to test their creations. The camp aims to foster an understanding of engineering concepts and problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive environment, with students taking home their completed projects.

What a typical day looks like

Campers check in with their instructor, work on guided hands-on projects, collaborate on team challenges, and conclude the day by sharing what they built.
