About this camp

The "Under the Hood: A Data Science & AI Experience" is a two-week summer program for rising 11th and 12th graders, evolving from the former "Run the World: AI Explorers" camp. It aims to demystify AI by exploring the mathematical foundations, Python programming, and ethical considerations behind modern AI tools. Participants engage in hands-on, project-based learning, applying AI algorithms to real-world datasets from diverse fields like medicine, history, and ecology. Students will learn to code in Python, build predictive models, and delve into deep learning concepts. The program emphasizes transforming students from technology consumers into creators, culminating in presentations of their data-driven investigations.
