At iD Tech's BattleBots® Robotics Camp, kids and teens dive into the exciting world of robotics and engineering. Campers will build and customize their own VEX IQ or VEX V5 robots, learning mechanical engineering principles and programming behaviors using VEXcode C++. They'll design custom attachments like claw arms or battering rams, and even utilize 3D printing technology to create armor and other parts. The week culminates in thrilling BattleBots®-style tournaments where students test their creations against peers in challenges like racing, obstacle courses, and capture the flag. This hands-on experience fosters problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity, providing a solid foundation in STEM skills.
A typical day includes hands-on learning sessions in a lab, balanced with outdoor activities and games on campus.
