The Research Ignited AI Robotics & Autonomous Drone Lab is a live, online program for middle and high school students (grades 6-12) that focuses on hands-on learning with Python-powered robots, sensors, electronics, computer vision, and autonomous drones. Students will build and program real robots and autonomous drones, gaining practical experience in AI-assisted decision-making. The program emphasizes real engineering by having students write Python code, wire sensors, and debug hardware, rather than using drag-and-drop blocks. Upon completion, students will keep their robotics kit (SunFounder PiCar-X AI robot car with Raspberry Pi and a CoDrone EDU) and receive a Research Ignited certificate, along with a portfolio of their projects.
