Students build and re-engineer remote-controlled robots inspired by BattleBots, culminating in a high-energy tournament.
In the Tech Academy - Extreme Robotics: Robo-Wars camp, students delve into the exciting world of robotics by constructing remote-controlled robots. Inspired by the popular show BattleBots, campers utilize LEGO® Robotics systems and specialized Technic™ engineering components to build their machines. Working in small teams, students engage in a hands-on process of testing, re-engineering, and modifying their robots to enhance their performance. The camp culminates in a high-energy tournament where teams compete with their creations. Through these activities, students develop essential engineering skills, learn about mechanical design, and gain experience in problem-solving and teamwork.
A typical day involves instructors introducing a project and new concepts, followed by hands-on building of robots, coding, or designing. Students then participate in team challenges and problem-solving activities, concluding with a show and share session where they present their creations.
This camp is perfect for kids who love to build, code, and compete, and are interested in robotics and engineering.
